Questions universities' increasing reliance on market-oriented metrics to determine their strategic directions and gauge faculty productivity. Building on research by comparative philosophers, Mary K. Chang constructs a concept of Confucian relationality and engages it to question universities' increasing reliance on market-oriented metrics to determine their strategic directions and gauge faculty productivity.
